About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) travel assignment. This role involves caring for critically ill cardiac and post-cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU environment, utilizing advanced cardiac devices and evidence-based critical care practices.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (NY is not a compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Arterial line management
• Central line, PICC line care and management
• Blood product administration
• Ventilator management, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP
• Continuous IV sedation, paralytics, emergency medications
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• CABG patient care
• Advanced cardiac devices: Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, Swan-Ganz monitoring
• CRRT/CVVHD experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• ABG interpretation
• Chest tube care and assistance with insertion/removal
• Infection prevention, PPE usage
• Wound vac care
• Management of multisystem organ failure patients
• Charting System: EPIC (required)
