Responsibilities

  • Perform and optimize nuclear medicine studies, including preparations and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, operation of gamma cameras and SPECT/CT or PET/CT systems, and ensuring high-quality image acquisition.
  • Conduct dose calculations, calibrations, quality control, and rigorous safety and quality assurance procedures.
  • Supervise patient positioning, radiologic protection, and ALARA principles, while documenting procedures, maintaining logs, and coordinating with physicians and technologists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Engage in patient education, monitor for adverse reactions, and contribute to protocol optimization and imaging optimization strategies.
