Role specifics and benefits. As a Multimodality Technologist, you will:
- Perform high-quality imaging across MRI, CT, and PET/CT modalities, applying precise protocols, positioning, and acquisition techniques to produce diagnostic-grade studies.
- Optimize imaging protocols to balance diagnostic yield with patient safety and comfort, tailoring approaches for diverse patient populations.
- Administer and monitor contrast agents as required, while adhering to safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
- Conduct thorough quality control and image optimization, ensuring images meet departmental standards and facilitating timely interpretation by radiologists.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical teams to discuss findings, adjust workflows, and support accurate, efficient patient care.
- Participate in ongoing cross-training across modalities, staying current with technological advances and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating clearly, reducing anxiety, and guiding patients through imaging procedures.
