Core responsibilities include acquiring high-quality CT scans, adjusting technical factors for optimal image resolution, and applying dose-optimization strategies to protect patients. You’ll confidently operate CT hardware, manage contrast administration when indicated, ensure patient positioning and safety, and monitor for adverse reactions with calm, proactive communication. Your role extends to quality assurance tasks, image optimization, accurate labeling and documentation, and timely communication with radiologists to facilitate precise interpretations. You’ll also contribute to the department’s safety and infection control standards and participate in continuing education activities to stay current with evolving CT techniques, software updates, and new software-enabled reconstruction methods.
