Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging across a range of exams, including routine anatomy scans, contrast-enhanced studies, and emergent studies, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Operate CT equipment with precision, optimize protocols, adjust technical parameters, and apply best practices in radiation dose management and shielding to protect patients and staff.
• Administer iodinated contrast and monitor patients for adverse reactions when licensed and trained, collaborating with radiologists to secure optimal image quality for diagnostic interpretation.
• Position patients accurately, select appropriate scanning planes, and implement standardized protocols to support consistent, reproducible results.
• Maintain rigorous image quality control, verify data integrity, and prepare studies for interpretation by radiologists, radiology residents, and other care team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, cross-train with other imaging modalities as needed, and participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment by communicating clearly with patients and families, addressing anxieties, and ensuring a respectful, compassionate care experience.
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover diverse shifts, support peak demand periods, and contribute to a cohesive team that shares responsibilities and celebrates successes.
