Role specifics and benefits Key responsibilities - Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies, apply and calibrate sensors, and ensure correct montage placements (EEG, EOG, EMG) for accurate data capture. - Monitor real-time polysomnography, artifact management, and signal integrity throughout the recording, intervening as needed to optimize data quality. - Score sleep stages, respiratory events, limb movements, and related parameters according to AASM guidelines, translating findings into actionable clinical insights. - Communicate clearly with patients, families, and on-site staff to minimize discomfort, address questions, and support adherence to study protocols. - Compile, review, and deliver precise reports to physicians, therapists, and sleep medicine teams, contributing to treatment planning and follow-up care. - Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and uphold safety, privacy, and infection-control standards at all times. - Document compliance, inventory, and maintenance logs to support a smooth, audit-ready workflow.
