Responsibilities

Support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality care by assisting with patient assessments, progress documentation, therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, mobility training, and functional activities tailored to each patient’s goals.
Prepare treatment spaces, manage equipment setup, and ensure safety and infection-control standards are maintained at all times.
Monitor patient responses to interventions, communicate changes to the supervising therapist, and adapt plans within established guidelines to maximize functional outcomes.
Provide clear, compassionate patient education on home exercise programs, activity modifications, and self-management strategies to optimize recovery and prevent setbacks.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, advocate for patient needs, and contribute to a cohesive, patient-centered approach.
