About The Position
Seeking a qualified Travel Pharmacist for a 26-week assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will also provide clinical support and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
- Active Pharmacist License in Massachusetts
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and hospital pharmacy practices
- Ability to operate pharmacy systems and equipment
- Good communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Hospital or acute care experience
- Experience with IV admixtures and sterile compounding
- Familiarity with EMR and pharmacy systems
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and manage medications per regulations
- Review medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Perform compounding, including IV admixtures and TPN
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation
- Provide drug information and clinical support to staff
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel
- Manage medication inventory and distribution
- Maintain compliance with policies and safety standards
- Support medication order entry during evening/night shifts
- Deliver quality service to patients and healthcare teams
