About the position

Vibra Travels is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Collierville, Tennessee. This position is designed for nurses with acute care experience, particularly in ICU, step down, med surg/tele, and acute rehab. The role is structured as a 13-week assignment, requiring 36 hours of work per week, with shifts lasting 12 hours during the day. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in nursing.

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • 1 full year of RN experience is required.
  • Diploma or Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional certifications may be required by Vibra Travels (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP).
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
