About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Expert-Level Network Engineer with deep hands‑on expertise in network design, architecture, and Palo Alto firewall implementations/configurations. This position involves substantial travel across multiple states and supports a wide range of business units within a dynamic enterprise environment. You will lead on-site infrastructure deployments, configure and troubleshoot complex network systems, and support server and security platforms across various U.S. locations. This role is ideal for a self‑driven engineer who thrives in a hands-on, field-focused environment. Candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to align with operational and travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • MUST have strong experience with Palo Alto implementations/configurations!!!

  • Location(s): Travel to AZ, CA, NV, UT (75% of the role is traveling to different sites)
  • Networking: Cisco, Aruba, Meraki
  • Firewalls: Palo Alto (Required), Fortinet
  • Servers: VMware vCenter, Windows Server, Hyper‑V, Scale Computing
  • Security: CrowdStrike
  • Device Management: Autopilot (light exposure)
  • Ticketing: Freshdesk
  • Candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to align with operational and travel requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • PCNSE certification
  • CCNP or higher Cisco certification
  • Proven experience deploying and configuring Cisco switches
  • Strong understanding of rack/stack, cabling, IDFs/MDFs, and data center environments
  • Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures
  • Experience leading multi‑site network deployments or refresh projects

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise-scale network environments
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, and other network systems
  • Lead on-site installations of Cisco and Palo Alto hardware
  • Perform rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and hardware mounting
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, cabling faults, and access/switch problems
  • Support Wi‑Fi and wireless connectivity across Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki platforms
  • Work extensively inside IDFs, MDFs, and server rooms
  • Support and maintain server infrastructure, including: VMware vCenter Windows Server Hyper‑V Scale Computing
