About The Position

The Registered Nurse position involves providing high-quality patient care in a healthcare setting for a 13-week assignment. The role requires managing various medical procedures and patient needs, particularly in critical care environments. The nurse will work a schedule of four 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, ensuring comprehensive care during night hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Proficient in managing various medical equipment and procedures, including chest tubes and high flow nasal cannula.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units is preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions.
• Administer blood products and manage surgical drains.
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams effectively in emergencies.
• Provide care for patients with feeding tubes and oxygen face masks.
• Perform wound care and manage wound vacs as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV protocols, including insulin and heparin.
• Care for patients with central lines and PICC lines, ensuring proper management and maintenance.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and remote monitoring systems.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure patient safety during care.
