Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Kernersville, North Carolina. This role supports a community hospital MRI department performing a wide range of imaging studies across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency populations. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for MRI Techs looking for a consistent weekend schedule while working in a balanced environment that includes acute care, outpatient imaging, and ER/trauma cases. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 3x12s (07:30–20:00) • Weekend block schedule (Saturday–Monday) • Patient ratio: 1:2 (weekends 1:1) • Average daily census: 12 studies :contentReference[oaicite:0] • No call required • No float required • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform MRI imaging across multiple body systems including neuro, spine, abdomen, and musculoskeletal • Conduct advanced MRI procedures including MRA, MRV, and MRCP • Administer contrast and perform IV starts as needed • Operate Siemens, Philips, and GE MRI systems • Utilize PACS and Epic systems for documentation and imaging workflow • Maintain patient safety and MRI safety protocols • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings WORK ENVIRONMENT • Community hospital setting • Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and emergency imaging • Epic and PACS systems • Strong interdisciplinary support (IV team, RT, pharmacy) • Scrubs: Royal Blue Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year MRI Tech experience REQUIRED
- ARRT (MR) and BLS REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Experience with Siemens, Philips, or GE MRI systems REQUIRED
- Ability to perform advanced MRI procedures (MRA, MRV, MRCP)
