• Knowledge of pain assessment and management techniques.
• Familiarity with the use of PCA (IV) for pain management.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for mothers and newborns in a couplet care setting.
• Conduct assessments and monitor the health of postpartum patients and their infants.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as needed.
• Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions.
• Assist with circumcision and assess the surgical site post-operation.
• Perform reflex checks, edema assessments, and pain management for both mother and baby.
• Manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal abstinence syndrome.
