About The Position

The Travel Automation Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of automation machine tools, specifically focusing on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical maintenance and automation.
• Experience with CNC machines and PLC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of control systems and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
• Experience with electrical wiring and AC/DC power systems.
• Familiarity with brands such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc.

Nice To Haves

• Glass scale linear encoder knowledge.
• Experience with ladder logic programming.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines.
• Handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance.
• Work with a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics.
• Repair equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools.
• Repair CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems.
• Connect laptops to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues.
• Use MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance performed.
• Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment.
