About The Position
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Correctional Facility | 13-Week Travel Assignment Saguaro Correctional Center 1250 East Arica Road, Eloy, AZ 85131 Aequor Healthcare is seeking a skilled LPN to provide high-quality nursing care in a secure correctional environment. This is a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and weekly pay. Schedule & Pay Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours: 36-hour guarantee (open availability required per CoreCivic Scheduling Policy) Contract Length: 13 weeks initial duration, potential to extend Pay: $1,386 gross weekly pay (including non-taxed stipends)
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing with LPN certificate
- Active LPN license in the state of employment
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a secure, correctional environment
- Must reside at least 70 miles away from facility
Responsibilities
- Execute physician orders, operate pill call and sick call
- Assist providers during exams and treatments
- Perform technical/clinical nursing procedures within scope of license
- Document patient care and maintain medical records
- Ensure safety, security, and compliance with facility policies
- Observe and report inmate/resident behavior
- Maintain and secure medical equipment, supplies, and medication
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate inmate/resident movements as needed
