About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Travel LPN to support a long-term care/skilled nursing environment on the night shift. The LPN will provide direct resident care, supervise nursing assistants, administer medications, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards.

Requirements

• Active LPN License
• BLS Certification
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily activities of nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies
• Coordinate shift services, programs, and activities with nursing and support staff
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation for admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper resident identification
• Perform nursing procedures including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, and wound care
• Monitor resident conditions and document care provided and resident responses
• Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Collect specimens (urine, blood, sputum) and perform routine lab testing as required
• Participate in resident and family orientation and education
• Communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and supervisors regarding resident care
• Ensure adequate supply of medications, equipment, and floor stock items
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to residents’ rights
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections as requested
• Perform additional duties as assigned
