About The Position

The Travel Installer position at HarbisonWalker International involves traveling to various locations to install refractory products and provide technical support. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Zero to three years of installation knowledge required.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
  • Ability to safely operate various hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Ability to detect and correct unsafe conditions of equipment and work environment.
  • Organized individual with emphasis on quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a jib crane and ensure correct rigging of loads (preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Requires computer skills.
  • Safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to safely use brick saw and bricklaying equipment (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of refractory lined units (preferred).
  • Application of refractory castable, shotcrete and/or gunite materials (preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, labor, landscaping, or farming.
  • Ability to operate a jib crane and ensure correct rigging of loads.
  • Working knowledge of refractory lined units.
  • Experience with refractory castable, shotcrete, and/or gunite materials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the customer's use of refractory products through direct, hands-on installation of products.
  • Provide material installation support to customers.
  • Ensure HarbisonWalker International equipment is operating in good condition.
  • Coordinate and complete preventative and corrective repairs of equipment.
  • Transport equipment to and from customer sites.
  • Assist Lead Installation Specialist in new job setup and preparation.
  • Perform equipment parts inventory for general maintenance.
