About The Position

Aya Healthcare is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Elizabeth, NJ. Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS certification and Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with various cancer types including bladder, breast, colorectal, and lung cancers.
• Familiarity with managing neutropenic precautions and administering blood products.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage infusion therapies for various cancer types.
• Monitor and manage side effects of treatments, providing patient and family education and support.
• Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy and manage cytotoxic spills safely.
• Perform central line care, including blood draws and port management.
• Administer IV medications, hydration, and nutritional support as needed.
• Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values to the healthcare team.
• Provide care for patients undergoing active immunotherapy and other oncological treatments.
