About The Position

RVNAhealth is seeking a Per Diem Travel Health Nurse to join our Community Health & Wellness team. In this flexible, clinic-based role in our Ridgefield, CT Office , you'll help prepare clients for safe and healthy international travel by providing expert consultations, administering travel-related immunizations, and delivering education tailored to each destination.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in Connecticut CT or Compact license required , in good standing.
• Training or certification in travel health nursing required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience .
• Self-directed, able to work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills with the professionalism and reliability essential to patient care.
• Comfortable using technology, including electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized travel health consultations for clients traveling internationally.
• Provide and administer travel-related vaccines and medications in alignment with clinical guidelines, RVNAhealth policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Educate clients on destination-specific health risks, preventive strategies, and safe travel practices.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in RVNAhealth's electronic health record system.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and preparation of vaccines and medications.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and fully prepared clinic environment.
• Uphold RVNAhealth's commitment to exceptional, patient-centered service.
• Collaborate effectively with the Travel Health team while working confidently and independently.
