Requirements

  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • At least one year of experience in an emergency department setting
  • Skills in general emergency department care for both adults and pediatrics
  • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage arterial lines
  • Experience with blood product administration and central line care
  • Proficient in phlebotomy and starting IVs
  • Knowledge of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
  • Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring CVA and ICP
  • Familiarity with neuro-trauma and spinal cord injuries
  • Ability to handle traumatic brain injuries and ortho-trauma cases
  • Experience with head injuries, near drowning, and CPAP/BiPAP management
  • Ability to interpret ABGs and care for ventilated patients
  • Experience with gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and perform arterial line management.
  • Administer blood products and manage central lines.
  • Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
  • Conduct procedural sedation administration and monitor patients for CVA and ICP.
  • Handle neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
  • Care for patients with ortho-trauma, head injuries, and near drowning incidents.
  • Interpret ABGs and manage ventilated patients, including those with gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations.
  • Implement isolation precautions and triage patients effectively.
