Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a school-based assignment in Thornton, Colorado. This role supports elementary-aged students across multiple school sites, providing therapy services and assisting in treatment plan implementation within a collaborative educational environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for COTAs with school-based or pediatric experience who are organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple campuses and interdisciplinary teams. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 5-week contract • Day shift 5x8s (07:00–15:30) • Flexible hours up to 40/week (part-time options available) • Coverage across 4 schools (3 schools 1 day/week, 1 school 2 days/week) • Elementary student population • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) REQUIRED
- School-based or pediatric experience REQUIRED
- Strong organizational skills REQUIRED
- Ability to manage multiple sites and schedules
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans for students
- Provide therapy services to support fine motor, sensory, and functional development
