About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Contract Screw Machinist to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and quality are paramount. As a Travel Contract Screw Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality machined parts.

Requirements

• MUST have hands-on experience with Davenport or Euroturn screw machines.
• Proven ability to set up mechanical, cam‑driven screw machines.
• Ability to perform physically demanding mechanical changeovers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Davenport Model A or Model B 5‑spindle automatic (manual) screw machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Perform full machine changeovers, including physically removing and installing cams, tooling, and machine components.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment.
• Operate machinery after setup to ensure consistent, high‑quality production.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
