About The Position

The Travel CNC Maintenance Technician role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and automation equipment. The technician will work with various CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and robotics, across multiple OEM brands. This position requires a strong electrical maintenance background and the ability to prioritize repairs based on equipment value streams.

Requirements

• Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines
• Strong electrical maintenance skills
• Familiarity with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and robotics
• Experience with controllers from Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and MMS systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with P&H cranes/hoists and conveyors
• Knowledge of ABB robots
• Familiarity with large part washers and furnaces

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines
• Handle electrical maintenance for automation machine tools
• Work with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and robotics
• Repair equipment with controllers from Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems
• Connect a laptop to machines for diagnostics and repairs
• Use MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance activities
• Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment
