About The Position

Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or license eligible in the state of employment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bladder functions, preparations for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care, and positioning in and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
  • Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor including daily perennial care, catheter care, turning residents in bed, bathing, measuring and recording temperature, pulse and respiration, weighing and measuring residents, performing restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and observing and reporting presence of skin breakdowns.
  • Prepare patients for meals and snacks; identify food arrangements and assist in feeding residents as needed; record food and fluid intake; and perform after-meal patient care as needed.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality; treat patients with kindness, dignity, and respect; promptly report all patient complaints, accidents, and incidents to the supervisor.
  • Assist as directed in proper admission, transfer, and discharge of residents; inventory resident possessions and report food articles and medications found in patient rooms; and report defective equipment to administration.
  • Understand and use Universal Precautions and follow established safety rules; ensure cleanliness of assigned patients' rooms; properly maintain and record patient restraints; and promptly report all violations of safety and sanitation rules to the supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in orientation, training, educational activities, and staffing meetings as requested.
  • Participate in training and education of staff as requested.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
