About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist / Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong invasive cardiology experience and be proficient in assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires maintaining high standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:
  • Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology OR Associate’s degree plus 3 years of recent Cath Lab experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Completion of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) course
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
  • Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist – EP
  • Minimum 5 years recent EP experience OR two of the following: CI, VI, or RCIS certifications
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and IABP certifications
  • Special Procedures Tech I
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT Registered and Massachusetts Licensed Radiologic Technologist
  • Basic Arrhythmia course (within 12 months of hire)
  • BLS, ACLS, and IABP certifications
  • Special Procedures Tech II / III
  • Meets all Tech I requirements
  • RCIS, CI, or VI certification OR 3–5 years recent Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology experience
  • EP training completion (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR), endovascular, peripheral diagnostic/interventional, and non-vascular procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Cath Lab equipment and procedural workflow
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong patient care and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures (scrub, circulate, and monitor hemodynamics).
  • Operate diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab equipment.
  • Monitor and document hemodynamic parameters during procedures.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to patients to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns.
  • Assist with patient transfers and positioning.
  • Prepare sterile trays and maintain a sterile field.
  • Assist with contrast media administration under physician supervision.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Perform routine safety checks and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Participate in professional development and remain current with procedural advancements.
  • Support Electrophysiology (EP) procedures as applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant Cath Lab environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
