Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Walla Walla, Washington. This role supports a rural acute care hospital providing therapy across a wide range of patient conditions including orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary cases. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for PTs who are adaptable, independent, and comfortable working across multiple units while managing a diverse patient population. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 7 on / 7 off (10-hour shifts) • Block schedule • Patient volume: 10–12 per day :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0 • Floating required across units • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide acute care physical therapy across multiple units • Treat orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary patients • Perform evaluations, reassessments, and discharge planning • Assist with mobility, transfers, and rehabilitation goals • Educate patients and families on care plans • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams • Document all care in Epic EMR system WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Rural facility with diverse caseload • Adult and geriatric patient population • Cross-unit support including ICU, med/surg, and rehab Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Acute Care PT experience REQUIRED
- Active WA PT license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- BLS REQUIRED
- EPIC experience REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable floating across multiple units
- Strong time management and independence REQUIRED
- First-time travelers accepted
