This facility is seeking a Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need. The position is available from January 2025 and ongoing at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves performing low-risk procedures such as laceration repair, intravenous access, intravenous insertion-peripheral line, and fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). Additionally, high-risk procedures include endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, paracentesis, chest tubes, and central and arterial line placement. Credentialing for this position typically takes 31 to 60 days, and candidates must have Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certifications.
