About The Position

Join Our Team in a Unique Leadership Role! Opportunity for you to lead within our Trauma and Acute General Surgery clinical practice at an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Position Highlights: As the Surgical ICU Director, you will oversee Trauma ICU operations and contribute to clinical leadership. Participate actively in the Hospital ICU Committee, reviewing and formulating policies impacting ICU care. Represent the Trauma/ACS team at hospital meetings and assist the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) in mentoring junior trauma surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Collaborate in the review and development of ICU-related Clinical Practice Guidelines. Provide clinical education to surgeons, APPs, residents, and medical students. Focus entirely on being a surgeon with no billing or coding responsibilities. 216 12-hour shifts annually Where You’ll Work: Work in a new, top-tier facility with advanced ER, OR, and inpatient spaces. Requirements

  • Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery
  • Surgical Critical Care fellowship
  • 3-5 years of trauma experience in a Level I or II center

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Trauma ICU operations and contribute to clinical leadership
