WHAT YOU WILL DO Maintain and submit patient data into the Trauma Registry/National Trauma Data bank including any regional or state trauma data banks. Perform audit review to ensure integrity of data. Perform data aggregation to generate quality improvement reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Provide customized reports as needed by the Emergency Services Director and Emergency Services Managers. Work closely with key trauma stakeholders as well as hospital quality improvement department. Assist and support management in operational functions of the Trauma Service. Implement and incorporate adjustments to optimize the data collection and input process. Coordinate trauma related meetings, take meeting minutes of the business conducted, and the dissemination of information to key stake holders. Create and maintain departmental files in order to make information readily available to the Emergency Services Managers and Emergency Services Director.

Requirements

  • Understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, anatomy and physiology.
  • Strong analytical skills to process data.
  • Strong computer skills, AIS/ISS coding and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Talk to others to convey information effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient communications skills, verbal and written.
  • 1 year Required 1 year ICD coding
