Trauma Registry must provide timely data entry of all trauma patients admitted to or transferred. Must meet all requirements of the Ohio State Trauma Registry and the Northwest Ohio Regional Trauma Registry, facilitating reports according to predetermined specifications. The Specialist must be familiar with interpretation of documentation in patient records and be familiar with ICD coding. This implies a strong background in medical terminology and in emergency patient documentation from the pre-hospital scene through the hospital course. The Specialist must develop strong relationships with patient care providers, physicians and community resources. The Specialist must be able to utilize data entry programs effectively and coordinate data within various data systems.
