About The Position

Conemaugh Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Trauma Registrar/Coder II to join our team in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This position involves reviewing medical records, abstracting clinical data, and assigning trauma scores, E-codes, and ISS/AIS scores. The role requires the abstraction of clinical information and performance improvement issues both concurrently and retrospectively, with data entry into database software. Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
• Two years of experience in a medical setting.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate actively and professionally with employees and department directors.
• Willingness to learn PC applications and utilize critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACD 10 CM Coding certification.
• Experience in database management.
• Degree in a health-related field or allied health.
• Completion of RRA or ART, AAAM course.

Responsibilities
