About The Position

The Trauma Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the trauma program. Through direct accountability to the Supervisor, Quality and Patient Safety and in collaboration with the Director, Quality & Patient Safety and the Trauma Program Medical Director, the program coordinator is responsible for execution of Trauma Center operations related to Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) Standards, trauma, performance improvement activities, community outreach activities, EMS collaboration, research activities and staff development activities.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • A minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to organize, maintain, process, and analyze large amounts of information and complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and appropriate manner (verbal, nonverbal, written and graphically) with a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex assignments and projects.
  • Exceptional customer service and effective interaction with executives, physicians, staff and patients.
  • Strong diplomacy and collaboration skills.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Experience with spreadsheet and database software required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania required

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years Charge Nurse experience preferred.
  • Experience in the implementation and administration of clinical quality databases preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare quality preferred.
  • Certification as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or certification in healthcare quality (CPHQ) preferred
