The Trauma Resource Nurse (TRN) has responsibility for concurrent trauma performance improvement and patient safety activities for the Trauma Center, working closely with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and Trauma Program Manager (TPM), to assure the provision of safe, efficient and effective clinical care to all injured patient by continuously monitoring, evaluating and measuring processes and clinical performance to reduce variation and improve clinical care. The TRN has responsibility for clinical integration with the trauma registry by working closely with the TPM and Trauma Registrars to assure accurate, concurrent clinical data abstraction and entry into the trauma registry. The TRN maintains clinical credentials and competencies as a RN to assist clinically with trauma patient care within the hospital as needed. #IND2
