Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP or PA)
About The Position
Surgical Affiliates Management Group is excited to invite a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) program. This position is based at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, a prominent 500-bed Level III Trauma Center located in El Paso, TX. Join our team of professionals in providing top-tier trauma and emergency surgical care to the community. As a crucial member of our Trauma/ACS team, you will engage in managing a variety of trauma-related cases and acute care surgery needs. This role requires a dynamic PA or NP who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care without the responsibilities of elective surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Active Texas PA or NP license.
- Experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery a plus.
- Capable of handling the intense demands of a trauma center and acute care setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to trauma and surgical emergencies.
- Manage inpatient care including rounding, and occasionally handle new consults and trauma activations.
- Participate in the post-operative clinic to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform bedside procedures and assist in surgical operations as required.
- Build and maintain effective communication and rapport with patients and team members.
Benefits
- Base salary: $150,000
- Four 10-hour shifts instead of five 8-hour shifts per week.
- 4 weeks off per year.
