About The Position

Our team is committed to ensuring waste is collected, handled, and disposed of in a sustainable and efficient manner. We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Trash Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a trash truck on residential routes to collect and dispose of waste materials in a timely and safe manner. You will work closely with other crew members and ensure that all services are carried out according to company standards.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid, state-issued driver's license (non-commercial).
  • Driving Experience: Previous experience driving a truck or large vehicle is preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and residents.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned routes within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and Operate Trash Truck: Safely operate a non-CDL trash truck on assigned residential routes, ensuring timely waste collection.
  • Waste Collection: Assist with the loading, transport, and unloading of waste from residential areas.
  • Adhere to Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety protocols while operating the vehicle and during the collection process, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Customer Service: Interact courteously with residents and address any questions or concerns related to waste collection services.
  • Route Management: Ensure routes are completed within scheduled timelines and report any delays or issues to the supervisor.
  • Truck Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in proper working condition, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and other components.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of waste collected, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or truck malfunctions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with waste collection team members to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
