About The Position

The Trash Attendant position ensures that the trash cans and penguins are emptied in an assigned area of the park. This position assists Santa’s guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner and requires close contact with the public, and the ability to work well with co-workers.

Requirements

• Ability to learn the various bags and styles used by Santa’s Village and which is appropriate for each type of receptacle.
• Understand importance of wearing gloves and washing hands.
• Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers.
• Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language.
• Must be 14 years of age or older
• Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
• Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
• Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision

Responsibilities

• Emptying trash cans and trash penguins throughout the park.
• Makes sure the proper size trash bags are being used.
• Make sure trash bags are tied and secured shut when being replaced.
• Keeps empty trash cans clean of lose trash.
• Ensures safety of all employees and guests.
• Greets guests courteously and assists guests.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Arrives at work on time, in “good show,” and keeps neat and clean throughout the day.
• Other duties as assigned.
