Requirements

Must have BCLS upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
Transportation experience preferred

Responsibilities

The Transporter performs transportation of patients throughout the hospital.
Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, equipment movement, and front office duties.
Performs clerical duties for the Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
Filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records.
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual medical terminology used in Radiology.
Demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
Maneuvers through the hospital as well as the reception area, as well as, outside storage area.
Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.
