About The Position

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs transport duties which may include, but are not limited to escorting and/or transporting patients within the hospital. Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge and intra-hospital transfers. Delivers on request specimens, patient charts and various other patient related materials to specified department or other hospital area.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, follow written and oral instructions and perform general clerical functions related to the job.
No previous related experience required; one to four weeks on-the-job training.
