About The Position

The Transporter is responsible for providing and documenting transportation services to clients of The Counseling Center, Inc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Provides transportation services to clients utilizing the agency van or other designated vehicle. Maintain necessary documentation related to transportations services in a neat and timely manner. Schedule vehicle maintenance and maintain necessary documentation related to vehicle maintenance according to agency policy and procedure. Provide input regarding transportation scheduling. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/Director.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good driving history required.
  • Valid Ohio Motor Vehicle License required and ability to maintain insurability
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid training.
  • Must maintain all applicable agency trainings.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe driving practices.
  • Ability in effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
  • Knowledge about the disease of addiction, treatment, and recovery process of chemically dependent individuals.
