About The Position

The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in supporting safe, efficient hospital operations by transporting patients, medical equipment, laboratory specimens, deceased patients, blood, and plasma throughout the hospital and Community Health Center (CHC) facilities. This position contributes to a positive patient experience and the organization's reputation by demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a strong sense of ownership. The Transporter is adaptable and responsive, willingly taking on new and varied requests while continuously seeking opportunities to add value and support high-quality patient care. Hourly Pay Rate: $16.22 - $23.92

Requirements

Requires the ability to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures and complying with federal and state legal regulations and DNV requirements.
Requires the ability and strength to move patients and equipment throughout a hospital and spend most of the day on their feet.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Requires the ability to work with professionals and maintain confidentiality standards.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Heart Saver certification or BLS Card issued by the American Heart Association is required and must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
