About The Position

Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a full time Transporter to join our Central Transport team! Employment Type: Part Time Shift: Rotating Shifts, 24hrs/wk. based on department needs Job Description: Responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior Hospital Transport experience preferred
• AHA BLS

Nice To Haves

• Prior Hospital Transport experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting proper mode of “transportation”
• Maintains Patient Safety in Preparation For Transport To Ancillary Areas As Well As Upon Return To Unit
• Demonstrates Proper Infection Control Practices and Precautions in All Patient Care Activities
