About The Position

At NewYork-Presbyterian, the Transporter staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and their families. Transporters help to provide a positive experience for everyone within the hospital through friendly smiles, conversations, and a continuous focus on being a patient ambassador. This role involves maintaining a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support while escorting patients to various areas throughout the hospital, conducting oneself courteously, and responding to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly. The Transporter/Messenger is a multi-faceted patient/hospitality focused position, performing tasks related to the transportation of patients, patient supplies, and messengering. The position requires going above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

Requirements

Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First
Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED
Experience in the healthcare, hospitality, or retail industry
