About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Transporter is to transport patients safely, ensuring the safety of the patient, oneself, and others while meeting set service standards. The role involves transporting specimens, supplies, equipment, patient records, medications, film, and other items within the facility. This position is part-time, requiring weekend shifts and a total of 24 hours weekly.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school graduation or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification required through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire or transfer to department.
• Previous health care experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of telephone, pager, transport equipment, and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely within the facility.
• Transport specimens, supplies, equipment, patient records, medications, and film.
• Meet set service standards during transportation.
