About The Position

This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full-time benefits and a convenient schedule working 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. Requirements

  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • Willingness to be cross trained to other areas.
  • Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for assisting professional OR personnel by providing housekeeping, inventory, and stocking services.
  • Must be willing to cross train and float to meet the needs of the institution.
  • Stock all warmers in OR with fluids and blankets during shift and at end of shift.
  • Make sure formalin and specimen cups are well stocked in sub-sterile areas.
  • Evenly distribute all necessary holding devices in sub-sterile areas.
  • Trained as anesthesia techs to cover when anesthesia tech is absent.
  • Help transfer patients to OR bed and back to stretcher.
  • Help position patients for surgical procedures.
  • Transport specimens to lab.
  • Assist anesthesia with hooking up patients to transport monitors when transporting from ICU.
  • Clean lead monthly.
  • Transport blood to the OR when needed.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all OR procedures to be able to get the OR’s set up with the proper equipment for the surgeries.
