The position involves safely and effectively transporting patients, selecting and prioritizing transports according to policy, and effectively communicating with appropriate departments regarding transport status. The role also requires demonstrating effective communication through courteous behavior and the hospital hand-off process.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification strongly preferred (must complete CPR certification within 8 weeks of orientation).

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively transports patients.
• Selects and prioritizes transports according to policy.
• Effectively communicates with appropriate departments regarding transport status.
• Demonstrates effective communication through courteous behavior and the hospital hand-off process.
