The Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of clients and staff members to and from designated locations, including transport after discharge, field trips and appointments. This position requires vehicle inspections, completion of required paperwork, and adherence to safety protocols. The Transporter must maintain a valid Class C-CDL license with the appropriate passenger endorsement and comply with all applicable policies and regulations. Strong attention to detail for completing required paperwork and vehicle inspections. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Capable of completing vehicle inspections in accordance with agency guidelines. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Center, except in cases where reasonable accommodation may be required and feasible. Ability to adapt to changing conditions and respond to emergencies as necessary. Attending all scheduled work hours, meetings, training, and other required functions. Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle(s) to ensure safe operating conditions. Maintain pre-trip logs and daily mileage logs as required. Transportation may be provided between Peace River Center facilities or to external community locations. Transport clients from the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) as needed, including after-hours trips, which may require travel outside the county. Maintain and update client sign-in logs for all trips. Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Nursing
