About The Position

The position involves providing patient transportation services across all departments as directed by the Transport lead, dispatcher, or supervisor. The role requires safely transporting patients to and from various hospital departments and assisting them in moving between wheelchairs and beds. It is essential to accurately give, receive, and record patient information using EPIC/Hall Pass, ensuring that two forms of patient identification are verified prior to transport. When not engaged in patient transportation, the employee will provide interdisciplinary support as needed, follow established procedures to maintain the hospital's appearance, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow by performing miscellaneous duties as requested. The position also involves interacting with all customers in a manner that supports operations across all departments.

Requirements

• Less than High School education required.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within the first ninety days of employment.
• No prior experience required.
• State of Florida Licensure not required.

Responsibilities
