About The Position

Under the direction of the Imaging Director or designee, the Multi Skilled Transport and Tech Assistants will work throughout the facility assisting in patient transport and other direct patient care duties such as: patient comfort, pre-screening of patients for procedures, IV starts, lab draws, EKG’s and clerical duties as approved and within the scope of their certification / licensure. The MST will maintain professional and cooperative interactions with all hospital departments providing overall excellent patient and customer services. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Previous hospital and/or clinical background required.
• BLS Certified National EMT License or CMA/CNA preferred.
• Florida EMT License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient transport throughout the facility.
• Provide direct patient care duties such as patient comfort.
• Pre-screen patients for procedures.
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, and EKGs.
• Handle clerical duties as approved and within the scope of certification/licensure.
• Maintain professional and cooperative interactions with all hospital departments.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
