Transporter, Patient Transportation, Resource Pool
About The Position
Provides safe and timely transport of patients/visitors to destinations as requested via HEV system or by telephone requests. Upholds Self Standards and promotes patient satisfaction through the use of AIDET and being customer friendly. Transporters are responsible for the safety of patients and must be able to assists patients and visitors as needed when getting in and out of wheelchairs. Transports patients via various types of wheelchairs, stretchers, beds and wagons. Transporters receive HEV requests via iPhone and document patients' name and birthdate, where located and destination on their individual logs and timeframe from begin to end of transport. Transporters are responsible for responding promptly so that patients have minimal wait time.
Requirements
- Good customer service skills
- Some computer skills
- Ability to push up to 500 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
