About The Position

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495 bed system serving the city of Amarillo and the surrounding region, offering a combination of traditional values and advanced healthcare technologies. The Transporter / Patient Transport / DI position involves attending to the patient's direct care needs and performing tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse. This role works in collaboration with an RN and does not involve independent assignments. The individual will also participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives with other health team members and support an organizational culture for Service Excellence, practicing Service Excellence Standards with all customer groups. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification or completed at hire and maintain certification throughout employment

Responsibilities

  • Attends to the patient's direct care needs and performs tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Works in collaboration with a RN, does not accept an independent assignment.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives in collaboration with other health team members.
  • Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
